The Students' Union represents students’ interests on campus, aiming to promote and protect student rights and interests, while creating a vibrant and involved community of students. Every registered student is automatically a member and all elected Class Representatives work with the Student Union to provide a forum for student feedback and debate on University issues.
The Student Union runs a number of services on campus, including a book shop, a bar, a coffee shop, a second-hand bookshop which includes photocopying and binding, and also produces a fortnightly newspaper called ‘The Print’. The Student Union general office is an information centre and a key place if you need directions/information of any kind. Student travel card, bus tickets, room bookings and all information on clubs and societies and activities are available from here. As well as staging gigs and events, the Student Union also funds and oversees the activities of all clubs and societies.
The Student Union is run by students on your behalf. We encourage you to get involved in college life, whether through sports, societies, participation in campus events or involvement with the Union itself and the running of its activities.
The Student Union is a prominent part of campus life with events run throughout the academic year @Your Clubhouse Bar and Venue, the Student Union venue, which is a place for chat, food and relaxation between lectures also.
You can find the Student Union on Facebook.
