International Foundation Course

Intensive English Summer Programme

Intensive English Summer Programme at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth

NUI Maynooth is currently host to over 500 international students from all over the world. Our international students enjoy studying English and learning about university life and the culture of the English-speaking world in a learner-centred and friendly environment. The small staff-student ratio (maximum 15 students per class) on our Intensive English Summer Programme allows students to receive valuable individual attention.

Objective

The principal course objective is to bring prospective students up to the level of English proficiency required by NUI Maynooth for undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

The courses are designed for international students who have obtained a score of at least 5.0 in the IELTS examination and who wish to embark on an undergraduate programme, and prospective postgraduate students who have achieved a score of 5.5 or higher in the IELTS examination.
