Adult and Community Education Modules in the H.Dip in Adult and Community Education are available, however have limited space. Please contact department to express interest.
Ancient Classics All modules available except GC350. Greek and Latin modules are subject to demand
Anthropology All modules available to visiting students.
Applied Social Studies All social policy modules are available except SP301
Biology All modules available except BI430
Business and Law All  MN modules available except EQ190a, EQ390, MN290a, MN390a, MN390, MN499 (project modules), EQ199, EQ299, EQ399, MN399, MN399X, MN399B, MN399XE (work experience modules) and MN341
Chemistry All modules available once the student meets the academic prerequisites except CH409, CH410S, CH410D, CH414 and CH415
Computer Science All modules available except CS359

European Studies All modules available to visiting students

Medieval Irish and Celtic Studies  All modules are available. Language modules require a prerequisite

Mathematics All modules are available to visiting students
Mathematical Physics All modules available - please note limited spaces available in MP354 and MP468.
Media Studies MD205 (Semester 1) and ID229 (Semester 2) are the only modules available to visiting students
Music All modules available except MU145, MU253, MU254 and MU380- students must be music majors at their home university in order to register for these modules
Philosophy All modules are available except PH316 and PH354
Psychology

All modules are availale except PS206, PS315, PS316, PS397

Visiting students are not permitted to register for more than 20 ECTS credits from year 2 Psychology modules

Medieval Irish and Celtic Studies All modules are available except SG205 and SG206. Language modules require a prerequisite, details can be found out from the department
Sociology & Politics All modules are available except SO201, SO202, SO203, SO204, SO205, SO301, SO303, PO202
Spanish & Portuguese All modules are available to visiting students

 Please note that year long modules are not available to one semester students.

Theology Classes

Through NUI Maynooth's links with St. Patrick's College, visiting students can also take 1-2 classes in theology at St Patricks College, Maynooth. Component classes can be taken from the Baccalaureate in Theology and the Baccalaureate in Theology and Arts. Please click here for detailed course description.

Visiting students should ensure that recognition of their attendance and examinations passed at Maynooth is acceptable to any Institution they are already attending or may wish to attend at a later stage. See our Examinations page for more information for visiting students.
