NUI Maynooth has developed exchange partnerships with seven American, one Canadian and one Brazilian university. Furthermore we have developed eleven study abroad (non exchange) partnerships with US universities and providers and one such partnership with a Chinese university. We welcome students from all our partner universities, as well as independent students, to spend a semester or a year at NUI Maynooth. As a visiting or exchange student at NUI Maynooth, you will enjoy the wonderful Maynooth experience; with top quality teaching and learning facilities, friendly staff, a beautiful campus, and a very fun and social time!!

Study Abroad students at NUIM can choose from a wide range of academic subjects across three faculties: Faculty of Celtic Studies, Arts and Philosophy; Faculty of Social Science and Faculty of Science, and across all undergraduate levels, 1st to 4th year.

Before applying, if students wish to transfer credit, they need to check that Examinations passed at NUI Maynooth are recognised by the institution they are currently attending or wish to attend in the future and that credit is transferable. The International Office is available for consultation on credit transfer to different educational systems. Course choices can be made in consultation with the academic departments at NUIM, with the NUIM International Student Officer and with academic advisors at home universities.
